The murder of doctors who perform abortions is absolutely tragic and tragically ironic when you consider that the perpetrators call themselves “pro-life.” However, the vast majority of abortion practitioners lead safe and normal lives. We need compassionate, empathetic, intelligent doctors, nurses and counselors for all matters related to family planning and sexual health. It’s not “bad” to be good at helping people. It’s the opposite of bad. Especially when the people you’re helping are in very difficult, very life-altering situations.
